Connecting Your Channel

TubeAnalytics uses Google OAuth 2.0 to connect a channel safely. The platform requests only the scopes it needs to read channel data, pull analytics, fetch caption tracks for transcripts, and power comments moderation when the feature is enabled.

`youtube.readonly` covers the channel and video metadata the app must render, while `yt-analytics.readonly` powers the metrics views. `youtube.force-ssl` covers the comments manager and the transcripts tool — Google gates its captions endpoints behind that scope, so `youtube.readonly` cannot list or download caption tracks.
