A YouTube watch time calculator estimates total watch hours by multiplying views by average view duration in minutes, then dividing by 60. For example, 50,000 views with a four-minute average view duration equals about 3,333 watch hours. This estimate explains the arithmetic but is not a substitute for the qualified public watch-hours total in YouTube Studio's Earn tab, which applies YouTube's eligibility rules and exclusions.

Watch Hours = (Views × Average Duration in Minutes) ÷ 60. Use matching dates for both inputs. A repeated monthly scenario does not model expiring hours or determine YouTube Partner Program eligibility.

The calculator converts your views and duration into total monthly and annual watch hours.
Open YouTube Studio’s Earn tab for qualified public watch hours. Shorts Feed watch time and other excluded viewing do not count toward that threshold; a total watch-time calculation cannot establish eligibility.
